Porsche 956, The Racing Class Car with Lexan Form Body

The Porsche 956 was in the Group C racing class. The 956 was a 2.65 litre twin-turbo car that output 620bhp. The Porsche trio of 956 cars competed in the Le Mans race of 1982, and took 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the race showing how good the new car was.

The car boasted an FRP double plate chassis configuration, and front uprights with ackerman steering. A rear motor pod held the black RS-540 SD Endurance motor and connected to the main chassis with a spring configuration for suspension. The body was another masterpiece, albeit in lexan form. Driver figure was kept along with lexan pieces inside the shell for lights.
